Phil Drew


Phil has the unenviable role of band manager, as well as being the musical director and trombonist in the sextet. He began playing the trombone aged 6 and decided to focus on the jazz trombone after passing his grade 8 exam (aged 16). Phil has since gone on to attain a music scholarship during his time at Loughborough University. He plays on a King 2102b ‘Jiggs Wigham’ trombone and has previously run a 25 piece big band. Phil is currently touring the UK with ‘Lets Hang On’ the world no.1 tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. He is available as a freelance trombone player for events and recordings in the South of England and Midlands (contact the band for enquiries).
